Ceramic Coating
- GTechniq HALO for PPF and Vinyl
- GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra + EXO
- Unmatched levels of shine, smoothness, protection against swirl marks, and resistance to chemicals
- A groundbreaking 7nm nanoparticle, in combination with a 20nm nanoparticle, enhances the concentration of crosslinkers, reinforcing the upper layer of the coating
- The durable top layer with a hardness of 10h and the flexible base layer with a hardness of 7h provide superior resistance to swirl marks compared to regular 9h paint protection
- Capable of withstanding the harshest wash chemicals (pH2 - pH13) and bird droppings
- Exhibits hydrophobic properties, making car maintenance easy; for ultimate hydrophobic performance, EXO Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating or C2 Liquid Crystal can be applied as an additional layer
- Unaffected by extreme temperature changes, even ranging from -40ºC to +250ºC
How Ceramic Coating works?
Ceramic coatings are typically composed of nanoparticles, such as silica or titanium dioxide, suspended in a liquid solution. These nanoparticles create a transparent and thin layer when applied to the vehicle's paintwork.
When the ceramic coating is applied to the surface of the vehicle, the nanoparticles chemically bond with the paint molecules through a process called crosslinking. This bond creates a strong and durable protective layer.
Ceramic coatings form a hard, transparent shell over the vehicle's paint. This shell has a high level of hardness, typically measured on the pencil hardness scale. The hardness of the coating helps to resist scratches and swirl marks from everyday use, such as washing and minor abrasions.
The nanoparticles in the coating create a surface that repels water and other liquids. This hydrophobic property causes water to bead up and roll off the surface, carrying away dirt and contaminants with it.Â
Ceramic coatings offer protection against various environmental contaminants and chemicals. They can withstand exposure to acidic or alkaline substances, such as bird droppings, tree sap, and harsh cleaning chemicals.
Ceramic coatings provide a certain level of UV resistance, protecting the vehicle's paint from the harmful effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. This helps to prevent paint fading, oxidation, and discoloration over time.
Ceramic coatings are known for their durability and longevity compared to traditional wax or sealant products. While the lifespan of a ceramic coating depends on various factors such as maintenance and environmental conditions, they can typically last anywhere from several months to several years.
